Just 10 minutes’ walk from central Manchester, the YHA hostel features a café bar, regular film nights in its cinema room, a canal side restaurant, and free parking.

I thought the price was about double of what it should be. £50 instead of like £25

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Great location for the arena. Shop and kebab right next door. Basic hotel with small bathroom but it's perfect for a cheap stay. Free parking but they did say that the policy was changing.

Superb corner room on 12th floor, very comfortable bed. Room was warm and cosy. Great bar and cold buffet breakfast (toast and boiled eggs too). The hotel's location in superb, right next to Piccadilly station and 10 minutes walk from the very centre. I found Q Park right next door very handy and safe (but not cheap). All in all for a budget chain I was impressed and will stay again.

Great location - it's a 15-minute walk to Picadilly, and there's plenty of places to eat and drink around, including a Spar across the road. Oxford Road and the Uni are a short walk, too. Staff were very helpful and were always around. The room was nice, and the bed was firm but comfortable. It's a pretty great spot if you're after cheap and cheerful accommodation in Manchester. It had a sort of really nice hostel vibe to it - I'm terms of the decor and size of the lobby, etc.

Bed was awful room was £180 per night and it was like a youth hostel. Toilet was a box your knees touched the door. We went to watch a concert and was charged £180 just because coldplay was in town any other time the rooms are £45. Ibis should be ashamed to charge this much when these rooms aren't worth £20. I get that it's a budget hotel but £180 isn't budget money
