Hostal Casa Tenango is located in Cobán. The hostel provides a terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The hostel offers an à la carte or American breakfast....

Nice hostel in Coban, extremely nice staff! They didn't speak much English but tried to help me with every question I had and gave good recommendations. The beds were big, the room was spacious with a huge locker. I only spent one night here but would have liked to stay longer.

Paraíso San José is located in Santa Cruz Verapaz and features a garden and a bar. The hostel provides both free WiFi and free private parking. La Aurora Airport is 148 km away.

It's such a wonderful place. I arrived when I was already dark so I could not enjoy the view of this place as much as I did in the morning. Everything in this place was just 10 out of 10. Thank you ver much

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

What a fab little hostel in Coban. Lovely and friendly staff (who spoke nice and slow Spanish especially for us!) Helped us organise a shuttle to Antigua and a trip to the very excellent coffee plantation at Chicoj. Our room was comfortable and a good temperature, hot water in the shower and we could use the kitchen to make a coffee in the morning.

We ended up in Coban because of the road blockages. The city itself doesn’t really have anything for tourists. The staff on the hostel were very nice and helpful, the situation was of course not ideal, but they called around, talked to us, and was overall really nice.

The property is fine. Amazing location in the middle of the rainforest. It feels safe and relaxing, and the staff is kind.

The staff were all helpful and nice. The dorm is just a set of bunk beds so I had a private room for the night. Warm shower. The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel/hostel ever. There is a kitchen guests can use but they charge Q20 to use it. They helped me with the bus to Lanquín and transport from Lanquín to Antigua, but it would have been Q25 cheaper to book the transport to Antigua in Lanquín. And if you book a shuttle in Lanquín they pick you up and you don't have to go to the bus stop yourself.

The hostel is nice and clean, with sitting areas indoors and in a small covered garden. There is a large shared kitchen with a gas hob and breakfast is included. It is in a fairly quiet street within walking distance of the market and about 20 mins to the national park.

the staff were excellent. super friendly, incredibly helpful with information including telling us where to go to see a Quetzal! Luis tried some English with us, and everyone was very patient with our mediocre Spanish. the hotel is under construction now, but it wasn’t bothersome. it’s already very nice and I think it’ll become a must visit hostel once they finish putting it together. the breakfast was some of the best I’ve had.

This cute hostel is in a great location half a block away from the center without it being loud, with a supermarket, great café, and fast food restaurants within walking distance. While my private room was a bit on the smaller side, it is great for a solo traveler and it has a VERY comfortable bed and access to a terrace with a chair and table to watch the sunset. Luis is awesome, very friendly and had great recommendations for restaurants.

This hostel is in a great location, very clean and has great, friendly staff. We had the room on the top of the building, which was super unique and cool and gave us a nice view of the city. Shared bathroom was very clean and well decorated, would stay again.
