Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Fantastic place. Lisa pick us up from the port and help to get to the hostel. There is an outdoor shower(also indor). Cute dogs and cats are around the place. You can rent a kayak and snorkel and get to the deserted island. In the morning You can get a coffe. I recommend this place. We stayed only for two nights but next time we would like to stay for a week. Guanaja island is magical itself.
What's not to love about Guanaja Backpackers? Firstly, it's nestled in the most breathtaking part of Guanaja, making every moment feel like an instagram-worthy moment. Plus, the owners goes above and beyond to make you feel right at home with their infectious friendliness and helpfulness. And let's not forget the ultimate perk: being surrounded by nothing but pure tranquility and nature's beauty. It's like stepping into your own slice of paradise!
the views were amazing and the staff were super welcoming/friendly
lisa and aaron happened to pick
me up from the cay when they were staying and were great from the start
the animals were all friendly as well and a nice touch to the morning breakfast views
lianna, one of the volunteers, made dinner the second nice which was great considering any restaurant is a walk away
there’s a very descriptive map in the living room of the hostel with directions and tuktuk numbers
