Disappointing Stay at Mad Monkey Gili T - Highly Unprofessional and Unsafe I stayed at Mad Monkey Gili T with a friend, and unfortunately, it was a very unpleasant experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcomed. There was no staff to assist us, and the check-in process was chaotic. Despite having our names on the list, it seemed they deliberately didn’t include us, which was very frustrating. The reception staff, especially a lady working there, was unprofessional and defensive when we asked any questions. There was also a guy named Dan who was rude and shouted at us, making the situation even worse. We felt uncomfortable and unwanted throughout our stay. The hostel itself was in a very poor state—dirty, unkempt, and nothing like the photos on Booking.com, which are clearly staged to attract guests. To make matters worse, the place felt unsafe. Our luggage was left unsecured, and we even felt that some staff members were supporting certain guests who were stealing from newcomers. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s a shame, because it could have been a great stay, but the lack of professionalism, poor hygiene, and unsafe environment ruined the experience for us.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was really nice and they do house keeping every day. They also offer discounts if you stay & dive. I definitely recommend it.
