Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Cute little hostel. Comfortable beds with charging ports right next to every bed. Good flushing toilet, some of the best showers I've used in all Indonesia, and lovely outdoor garden patio area to chill and relax. What really makes this hostel are the staff - absolutely lovely and really ready to help you in any way they can! The breakfast they make is big, filling, and tasty. Would recommend to any traveller looking for a dormitory bed on their way through Ruteng.

Some of the cleanest beds I’ve had in Indonesia/Southeast Asia. The family hosting us were among the most genuine and wonderful people I’ve come across! So attuned to the wants and concerns of the backpacker, always made us feel safe and always happy to chat! :) they would often go out of their way to recommend amazing activities in the area. 10/10 in any backpackers books.

Chacha’s was awesome! I read all the over reviews that said they extended their stay and I thought, nah I won’t extend my stay, but of course I ended up extending my stay! The vibes were just so lovely and homey and the hosts were really wonderful people. Clean sand safe with all the essentials and extras you need/want! Super central, next to a bus depot and super close to all the restaurants and cafes in town.

The people who work there are amazing! They make you feel at home, give you a lot of tips and tell good stories about the area and there family as well. The breakfast and other food that they provide are really tasty. By far the best hostel I stayed in for years. The facilities are basic (like bucket showers) but they make it as comfortable as it can be. (Yes you get hot water).

One of the best Hostels we stayed in in Indonesia! They were so kind they made us feel like part of the family. He helped us to plan our activities so we knew were its worth it to go or not and he arranged a guide to hike. We rented a motorbike and it was a new one. We ate all our meals there because the food was really deliciouse. We extended our trip for one more night because we felt really safe and comfortable here. I would recommend to come here it was a 10/10!

The best hostel we have stayed in for 5 months. The place is incredibly clean and located in the city center. Furthermore, this family was so warm, welcoming and helpfull. Eventually, we stayed here for 3 nights as we did not want to leave. Thank you Ayu and Jofan hope to be back someday! Wish you all the best.
