I stayed at the Sleepy Raccoon 🦝 a week in March and couldn’t have chosen a better place. The hostel is situated close enough to the city for easy access to food and sites but tucked away so as to remain quiet. Facilities are good and kept clean and the common areas give you many choices for how to study, relax, or commune with others.

The vibe of the place is lovely. The staff are local residents, so there is social empowerment involved in the business—which is nice.

Such a nice and friendly place! Spacious room with a desk and enough space for the two of us. The room had a kettle and a fridge plus you can use the microwave in the kitchen area located on each floor. There's also a pool we didn't use.
The staff were wonderful and helped out whenever we had an issue. Left us a breakfast box in the morning since we were leaving at 5 am.
The breakfast was delicious, local food + European options to choose from.

I came here directly from the station under the drizzle morning with my friend around 7 am. We were greeted warmly by the front officer Sis Nira. Eventhough the check in time was still several hours ahead, we were welcomed to use the lobby guest facilities such as the shared kitchen, water dispenser, the fridge to put some food, shared bathroom, pool and the muslim praying room (mushalla).
When we finally got into our room (family room), I was surprised that they accomodated us with free water bottles, toiletries and towels. It's really affordable, comfortable and clean alhamdulillah. Thanks a lot. Definitely would like to stay here again if we visit Jogjakarta again.

Everything! It is a great hostel for take a rest, very clean and the atmosphere there is so quiet. I highly recommend.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
