Our group appreciated the cozy bedrooms and ability to easily walk down the street to the pub. We also appreciated the good breakfast in the morning.

Stayed in the hostel for two days on a walking trip of the Dingle Peninsula. Beautiful location and easy walk to Dingle. Facilities are basic, but comfortable. Room slept three, but I was the only one staying in it. Great communal kitchen well equipped for most cooking needs - if I were to stay there again, I would cook a meal instead of getting instant stuff. Cast iron stove in kitchen area made it cozy. Also, they did my laundry, which was great but expensive.

The staff and accommodations were wonderful. It was a quaint little beach town a small bit away from the city center.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
The name 'Hostel' is exactly what it is so dont expect luxury but it is functional and does have a place to prepare food and breakfast is continental buffet. Good parking on site and nice walks to the sea and to Brandon Point.
The position of the Mt Brandon Hostel , in the tiny unspoilt friendly village of Cloghane, not on the major tourist routes, and within walking distance of the eastern approach to the Mount Brandon walk ( grade 3, reasonably strenuous, but with fantastic views from beginning to the end at the peak), has made this little detour on our Ireland trip one of the highlights! The hostel has the basics but the staff are fabulous and we got lucky with perfect early summer weather for our three days.
Loved this lil' hostel! Super cosy, great breakfast and chillout area with the best view of the bay, good breakfast and the host was really friendly throughout the entire stay! Recommend it!
Loved everything about our stay here! Maurice the new owner is super friendly and helpful. Stayed in the apartment which is lovely and bright and spacious, with an amazing view out over the bay. Location is perfect - can hike straight up Mount Brandon from the door, and there's a lovely pub just down the road. Nice cozy common areas in the hostel to relax in as well. Highly recommend!
