The owner is so friendly and can arrange for you autorickshaw or kayaking/canoeing in backwaters. Just in front of the hostel there is a small family restaurant where I ate everyday. Jay is an excellent host, he'd always be there to help me and make me feel home since the first moment. I recommend this hostel for any backpacker around Kerala. I really enjoyed my stay and didn't want to leave! It doesn't offer any meal but you're given honest recommendations of restaurants and cafés nearby. It was big help cause one of friends was sick. Also they give good advice on back eater trips. We r not big budget so he told us how to do it cheap. Also, on arrival, he greeted us very cool lemon juice, felt great coz of hot weather. We also ate pure-veg food and there was plenty of it.
