The room was cozy and clean. The staff at the reception was kind and polite.
The food was overpriced and the menu was limited and it tasted below average. On top of that they would not even let us order from the outside.
They should at least think of expanding their menu or let the guests order and eat at the common areas if not rooms.
Set in Amritsar, 1 km from Golden Temple, Madpackers Amritsar Bunks, Rooms, & Community features air-conditioned accommodation and a terrace.

It's a very nice place close to the Golden Temple. But above all, you'll find there a very helpful staff. You really feel they wish your stay to be as comfortable as possible. Staid there one week (private room very comfy) & will come back in 2 weeks. They kept my bicycle in a safe place just near. I warmly recommend!
(just one thing: you won't be able to use the kitchen, which is run as a private business for the guests, btw good food, fair prices)

Wifi was not working apart from that all good. I came for travel plus work purpose, as wifi an issue it was difficult for me. For few doms it was not having curtains so was having that difficulty since light was coming through the glass
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Great location - short walk from the Golden Temple. Staff were awesome for recommending places to eat and Vicki was an awesome guide for the Border Tour (booked through the hostel). Aircon works great!
Budget hostel. Walkable distance to all visiting places. Nice staff. If you want to book a ride to anywhere, there is a tuk tuk driver whose name is Vikky, he is exceptional. He explains the entire history of Amritsar and very good person.
Great location, just inside the old town. Not far from bus stand and not far from golden temple. Many restaurants and shops around.
Great dorms with spacious lockers. Comfortable beds and good bathroom. Everything is very clean.
Great common room and roof top terrace for socialising and relaxing.
Staff is very helpful and can assist with tours, Sim cards etc.
Special events like BBQ or movie night!
Also safe motorbike parking (no cars!)
I stayed at the backpackers hostel for 4 nights and was made to feel very welcome by all the staff. They were professional and couteous particularly prince jacob who really went above and beyond to make my stay extra comfortable. Hes a really great guy and i appreciate all he did!
Excellent staffs. Very helpful and well behaved. The common area is nice. Budget friendly option for solo backpackers. You can always meet new people and make some new friends over a place like this
The best hostel I have stayed in India. The room and toilet are very clean and comfortable. They clean everyday. Just 10 minutes walking to Golden temple. Everyday they organise Border culture tour just 300 rupees. The staffs are super kind and helpful. They booked Covid test with very cheap.price for my flight. Thank you very much!
