Perfect location, although outside the fort, it was within a short distance from it and close to restaurants and local shops. I arrived at 6:00 am after a long train journey, and there was someone at the reception who promptly allowed me to check into my room, which was great since I was very tired. The place is calm and quiet, and the daily rate is really affordable. Breakfast is not included, but there is a rooftop restaurant with a wide variety of options at very reasonable prices, as well as an incredible view of the fort, both during the day and at night.

Directly when we arrived we felt we leveled very well with the Amazing owners of open Road. They are in for lighthearted chats and deep conversations, and explain you more about the South and north indian culture. The rooftop is very chill (to see the sunset & fort) and the room looks cosy and clean!
We also experienced the dessert tour and returned after since we liked it so much.

Very beautiful hostel, in the middle of Fort Jaisalmer. The rooms are big and clean, with a stunning view. Also a great rooftop where you can chill and get delicious food. I would say: look no further and book! :)

I liked the very easy access to the market, although it is not getting the busy vibe of it. It is located in a very quiet road. The hotel itself is new built and the room I had was giving me a comfy and relaxing feeling. The Room, restaurant,
and the kitchen are very clean and sober, which I appreciate a lot. Parveen, who runs the hotel, is knowing already what you need before you even ask for. I would recommend the hotel already only because of him. A kind person always ready to help, reliable, polite, friendly with a sunny mood. If you have a problem he will find a solution with you. I can definitely recommend

This was the first time I walked out of a hostel without staying there.
- The property does not at all look like in the pictures! There is no rooftop Café, and the rooftop was littered with trash and the furniture really ran down.
- The room I booked was extremely different to the room they checked me into (I booked the 6bed female). I ended up in a basement room with no windows.
- They promised a pick up from the station but nobody showed
- when I arrived the staff were still sleeping. I wasn't able to wake them up, but was able to enter the hostel and go all the way up to the rooftop. This did not make me feel like the hostel is a safe environment.
They later explained that it's Ramadan so they sleep in the morning. I appreciate the importance of Ramadan, but then tell people they can't check in in the morning (it was 9am when I got there) or make different arrangements. I had previously informed them about my estimated time of arrival
All in all I did not feel comfortable staying there so left to go to a different hostel.

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great hotel in a great location, walking distance to the fort. Beautiful room and bathroom equipped with everything needed for a perfect stay - including a heater for any chilly nights. Friendly, helpful staff who couldn't do enough to help. Hope to visit again.
I did the non/tourist safari tour as it was lots of fun. Hostel also have nice food and very good chai. I would recommend to other solo travellers.
One of the best hostel experiences in India so far. The people who run the hostel are super friendly, warm and welcoming. They organise games on their rooftop terrace, yoga for free, have a great rooftop view and decently clean rooms. Would recommend this stay!!!
Great location, hostel looks amazing, the terrace has an awesome view. I think this is the best hostel in the city, I am really happy that I stayed there. Would reccomend!
I ran away from an uncomfortable hostel situation, and Marigold was my safe haven. It's so cheap for such spacious and luxurious rooms. The cafe is great and Asish is probably the best and most helpful person you will ever meet.
