Hafnarstræti Hostel offers capsule sleeping pods in Akureyri. Guests can choose from single or double bed capsules. Free WiFi is available.

Hafnarstraeti Hostel is is pretty good option if you wanna stay in the area around Akureyri for a few days and don't spend too much money. The equipment of the kitchen is marvelous (really big) and there is plenty of space to chill with newly made friends (cozy living room, tables ect). You can call or write the staff every time, if you need help with something. Check in was easy by codes and key cards. The beds are perfect for having private space, although they are not very silent, you may hear other guests alarms or something. Didn't bother me that much though. Bathrooms are modern and very clean.

Situated in central Akureyri, Akureyri Backpackers offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with access to shared bathroom facilities. A swimming pool and hot tubs are a 1-minute walk away.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room, even though almost laughably empty, was clean and beds incredibly comfortable - especially after we were supplied with extra pillows. Restaurant serves tasty food in a lively atmosphere.

One of the best hostels in Iceland during my trip. I spent a few weeks in Japan recently and this hostel reminded me of this time. + Spacious capsules for privacy + Clean and modern facilities + Good location in city centre and close to the harbour + Terrasse on the roof + Big dining area + Area with couches to hang out + Wifi worked fine

Totally love this place as the architecture is so modern and beautiful. Love the balcony, though we didn't get a chance to sit outside as is too chilling. The view is amazing and spectacular. Villa is clean and is a bonus to have a room with bunk bed instead of sofa bed. Easy drive to main town and near forest lagoon. So far one of the cheapest apartment I have stayed in Iceland. Totally value for money. My family of 4 totally enjoy our stay here.

Third time staying here. The best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s like an extension of the owners home. All the fixtures & fittings are quality & carefully chosen as if it’s their home. I’m over 6 foot & I find the pods comfortable & private & always get a good nights sleep. It’s a great central location & best value in Akureyri.

This was hands down the best value for dollar of every place we stayed in Iceland (we stayed at 8 places in total). It was clean, modern, safe, great location, ... If we could have stayed longer we would have.

The cleaning inside was impeccable. The rooms and bathroom are very comfortable. What I more like is the plugs next to the bed and every bed, even the upper bunk beds, have a little table. Also it's very safe and every bed has a locker for luggage. When I arrived there wasn't any staff working so I can not judge.

All the spaces are clean and people very kind! We spent only one night here. It was our first experience in a capsule. It was amazing! The most cheap hostel we find in Iceland. I really suggest it.
