I had a bunk bed in a mixed dormitory and the beds were HUGE. They all had a curtain so that you could have your privacy. It doesn't look like a hostel at all. Beds in dormitory are big and comfortable, each with a curtain for privacy and blocking light. Nice kitchen, maybe could do with more cooking stoves. It's very clean, has a lot of spaces outside the room to chill, bathrooms, showers and a big kitchen with a view to have lunch or breakfast. The Barn is definitely a backpacker hostel and is organised as such, with shoe racks outside of each bedroom. Each bed has a place to put their luggage on and there are many coat hangers. Busy, but it's a great location, just a few minutes from the black sand beach and basalt columns. Fantastic sunset from there. The room was so spacious (I had a double room), and the bed was SO comfy! The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with all the appliances you'd need.
