Everything about the property was excellent. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and spacious, the shared areas were really nice and the staff were excellent. It was the best place I stayed at in Japan as a solo traveller on a budget.

This hostel was great! We loved the location and the breakfast was amazing. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Only improvement would have been to have a shelf or somewhere to place my phone when I slept.

The staff were very thoughtful & had great restaurant recommendations, they really took the time to consider whether you wanted food or food & drink, as well as the day of the week & time of day!
The ‘classic ‘ brunch was delicious especially the hummus with the sourdough bread!! Of the japanese hostels we’ve stayed in, this was the most secure for storing baggage before check-in. They tagged the bags, kept them locked away & provided us with a corresponding number. The shower room is very spacious & has one shower head over bath 🛁; the shampoo, conditioner & shower gel were lavender and camomile scented.
There is plenty of room under the beds to store luggage & a small locker to store some valuables (though we didn’t end up using it).
Featuring a sunny lounge with free Wi-Fi, 2 free-use kitchens and a rooftop terrace overlooking the city, Backpackers Hostel K's House Kyoto is a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Train Station.

the staff is very friendly and helpful. thank you. i like the kitchen and common area. the common area is very big and has anything you need. also, leaving your luggage and benefiting the common area after the check-out is very god plus. there is locker for luggages under the bed. have your lock with you before staying here.

I loved how close it was to the station, literally just a short walk form Gojo station which is a 2min train ride from main Kyoto station. I love that its so peaceful and quiet, away from the crowds and tourist areas. The room we stayed at was so so spacious for a family of 4 and it was so comfortable. The beds were comfortable to sleep in and it was cozy.

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
A cheaper option to stay away from Kyoto City during peak autumn season if you are driving. Love the bath house and the well-equipped common kitchen. Staff is helpful. The property is clean.
It was my first time in a youth hostel and I appreciated have mine own little space with lot of outlets and privacy. I also loved the onsen
