Excellent hostel, one of the best we have been to. Lovely staff, great excellent showers and baths, nice room and a great social area to meet people.
Located right by the central station too, so you can easily hop on a train to explore Kyoto!

The room may be small, but it has everything you need. We stayed in a room with bunk bed and the beds were very comfortable. The motion-sensor light by the entrance was a nice touch! The front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Hostel is in a very central location in Gion, but on a quiet street so it doesn't feel like a touristy area. Walk a few steps and you'll start seeing more people, but the street of the hostel itself is very quiet. Hostel is also very clean and modern, bed area is spacious, and amenities are great. The shampoo I used here is honestly the best shampoo I've ever used.

Honestly, my favorite hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff was super chill, the bathrooms were actually nice, and the rooms were spacious. Great location, with plenty to do nearby and a bus stop just a 4-minute walk away.

We stayed in the tatami room. We really liked the experience of getting to sleep on the tatami mats, as well as having a room all to ourselves. The public amenities here are really outstanding for a hostel; an entire floor of common space is pretty much unheard of in Japan! The terraces were beautiful, free coffee and tea was appreciated, and the bathrooms were spacious and well maintained.

Breakfast was good, especially the toast. I liked it and it helped me to get through the day without worrying about food. If you bring ur own food ingredients u can cook there.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
A cheaper option to stay away from Kyoto City during peak autumn season if you are driving. Love the bath house and the well-equipped common kitchen. Staff is helpful. The property is clean.
It was my first time in a youth hostel and I appreciated have mine own little space with lot of outlets and privacy. I also loved the onsen
