JapanThe owner was incredibly helpful and friendly. She gave us a booklet with recommendations of where to eat and a hand drawn map of what to go see. She also helped us make a dinner reservation as many restaurants were already full. The bakery downstairs had a great selection of sweet and savoury goods. The station is only a few minutes walk away.
We enjoyed our stay and regretted only staying one night. We hope to come back one pday.

The vibe of this place is amazing, very cozy and homy, and the building is a very well preserved historical building. It has great installations and common áreas, the bed was also really comfy and everything was clean. They even offer a special price for the local onsen (wich I also recommend) and a welcome drink (I recommend the homemade plum sake). The hosts were incredibly friendly and they speak english. And although traditional, the house is very well renovated, comfortable, and clean. The room was cosy, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The owners were so lovely and are genuinely kind people who made our stay great. Breakfast was great, bread very good (because they also had a bakery). The tatami’s in the room were comfortable as well. Looking back to it we loved staying here thank you! Also I didn’t expect Taketa to be so interesting.
