They were really helpful in cancelling my booking 48 hours before even though it said on my booking I couldn’t. I managed to get a refund. I am glad I did only stay one night in this hostel as I booked a no aircon room which I didn’t realise so was quite warm. It was also a very quiet hostel which was okay as I was only there one night. Toilets and showers were kept really clean.

Owners friendly approach and ready to help all time.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Great location! Very near to the beach and had many restaurants nearby. Big rooms equipped with wifi and water heater. Great view from the balcony. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Very fast responses over text and calls. Would definitely recommend it for people with budget trips.
Great location right on the beach, breakfast was fabulous and included (and served with a great view of the sea). Room (budget) had a very good mosquito net and air conditioning worked well. The house felt secure. Owner and his wife were very friendly. We could leave our luggage to collect later.
- Friendly, cool staff. Social hostel.
- Clean building
- Every day different social activity
- Breakfast included
- Options fire bike rental, massage, cheap towels,…
I can honestly say that this was the best hostel I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka. The whole building, including the rooms, was so clean and stylish. The location was perfect because you’re amidst the jungle away from the crowd and noise, yet only a short walk to the beach. The staff are all lovely and caring - the best hospitality standard I’ve come across. Plus the food is freshly made… authentic Arabic dishes that taste incredible! This place has my heart! I booked 2 nights but ended up staying 5! Thank you Habibi team 🌷🌀💗
Lucky who runs the hostel was so friendly.
Breakfast included and delicious
Hostel also hosts evening activities which is a great way to meet other backpackers.
Each bed has a fan.
A great relaxed atmosphere.
Would definitely come again
We had one of the cheaper rooms - but it had all that we needed - a large bathroom good AC and fan - a little patio- but the mosquitoes can be annoying. The gardens and pool were delightful- very courteous staff and a really impressive breakfast. This is also a great location for strolling the main street with restaurants and shops. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
One of the best hostels I have lived in, I travel solo often and have travelled and lived in many many hostels. It was very well made and so so clean and amazing! i loved my stay there honestly. So comfortable
The hotel had a beautiful pool and very welcoming and friendly staff. The hotel is in a great location and had a great range of food and drinks with their in house menu. I felt very safe at the hotel and secure.
- Rajiv the owner is just the best hostel owner I have ever met, so caring, funny and kind; he also went with us to the beach twice and showed us around
- the people and atmosphere are amazing and you will feel at home after half a day
- the food (only tried dinner) is amazing and the chef such a nice guy
- had a three bed dorm for my own
- nice chill out area and lot of beautiful paintings
- what you get for the price you get is amazing
