Great hosts/owners who where very helpful and accommodating when something went wrong and we didn't have any hot water. It is really great location with parking available at yard of the house. Apartment was well equipped. Therefore I was so pleasantly surprised to discover that this was one of the most pleasant hostels I have ever stayed in. Clean, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, really nice common area. - Review scoreGood · 326 reviewsThe manager is very passionate about serving visitors. Best hostel manager I have ever met. The whole place is very stylish. The dormitory beds are very comfortable. Perfect location in the centre of Cesis. Works are still being done to the heating system so it may not be the warmest during winter for now. The hob is missing from the kitcen and still awaits installation but there is the oven and microwave to use. It has the charm of an old grand hotel (the breakfast-room/restaurant is lovely in that style BTW). I was staying in a split-level single room that was more than adequate. I appreciated that the few steps between the bedroom and the bathroom were fitted with automatic lights that would switch on when movements were detected.
