This is a wonderful hostel and hotel located very close to the center of town and the beach. The staff especially Ahmed, Elias and Abdul were so friendly and welcoming. They invited me to a feast one night and we played music and games in the family room by the fireplace. The bedroom was very quiet, the pool was clean, the breakfast was delicious. I didn't order dinner but it looked amazing. The common areas and room and bathroom were cleaned and stocked regularly. Ahmed provided me a towel for free when I asked and organized a taxi for me to Ghazoua when I was departing that arrived on time. And of course the price is so cheap! I will return one day.

I'm in love with Essaouira from the first sight! And this hostel is a part of that. Firstly- very central location, when I mean central it means you're in the heart of Essaouira. The location was perfect. One cannot go wrong. It was a bit away from street noise and very quiet at night. The staff was amazing, and the people who stayed there were a lot of fun. Some of them return year after year.

Berber hostel is a place where people originally intend to stay a few days and wind up staying a month or more. The staff- led by Souf- were warm and helpful-for example, recommending a wonderful non-tourist hammam. The location is perfect for exploring the Medina, the beach, surfing, the artist colony, etc. Hostels are about the vibe and Berber hostel is magic.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hostel! From the moment I arrived, the staff Samad and biggy made me feel so welcome — genuinely kind people who are always ready to help or just have a chat. The common areas had such a chill vibe, perfect for meeting other travelers, and everything was kept really clean. The location was ideal too — close to everything but still peaceful at night. I honestly didn’t want to leave. I’ll definitely be coming back!
