AustraliaWell this was a surprise. Don’t be put off by the exterior as it is a work in progress. The inside is comfortable and clean. Not 5 star but remember the location. Great stop for exploring Arthurs Pass and all the walks in the area. Vicki and Gerard were fantastic hosts during our stay. Very knowledgeable on the area with some good advice. Highly recommend Rata for a stay in this location.

Bunks were average as bunk beds are... but were comfy for the purpose of a backpackers. Not a lot of space for personal belongings for the number of beds. Showers great.
