Great to have the restaurant across the street. Common areas allow for meeting other travelers. Our room faced away from the road so very little traffic noise.

This feels like a home and a group of people just enjoying each other's company. As a smaller hostel, the family running it do a fantastic job.
Lots of travellers come back here and I can see why. You feel at home and like you are very welcome to come back.
Very colourful and clean.
Staff and guests were very friendly and the free shuttle service from the station was a game changer for me.
I came as a last minute thing and informed the team of what I might benifet from. Jacinda wrote back derailing exactly the steps and ramps and what might be tricky for me so I could navigate it and work it out. Making access is really clear for me. Thank you would love to stay again!
Beds so comfy and clean really nice vibe of the whole place.

It’s hard to beat the value of this place. The place is qwirky and fun. There is a tavern attached that’s open a few nights a week. All private rooms with a communal kitchen and common area. John the host is super friendly and helpful.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Great location. Gateway to the beautiful west coast nature
Bed was comfortable
Obvious a lot of effort has been put into restoration, right down to heritage wallpaper, art and decor.
Backpacker style accommodation with ensuite bathroom. Shared lounge & kitchen facilities. Presents a great opportunity to meet and talk to other travellers. Hotel across the road handy for meals if you require.
The cottage we were given looked tiny from the outside but was spacious and had plenty of room for four adults with two enormous bed and 1 separate bedroom. The bathroom was amazing. Loved the vintage touches with the old style writing desk table and vintage bath in the bathroom. Great to have laundry close at hand and safe bike storage
Friendly warm approachable staff.Atmosphere of the hotel. Tasty generous bar meal and generous breakfast.
Somewhere dry and safe to leave our cycles.Complimentry tea and coffee in bedroom.Lovely fresh crisp sheets, warm rooms.
