We absolutely loved Adventure Inn Marahau!! We arrived early, and manager Mac made us feel welcome right away! We met some amazing people here, and even though it was raining all day on the first day we arrived, we were happy we spent our time here. There was plenty to do inside and we will recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to stay near Abel Tasman National Park!!
Located on the edge of the Abel Tasman National Park The Barn Cabins & Camp offers guests shared accommodations in a natural bush setting. Socialize by the BBQ or over a game of billiards.

I stayed for 4 nights and wish I could have stayed longer! I loved the cleanliness of the place, the layout, the spacious kitchens (there were 2) and the hostel was relatively unoccupied when I stayed so there was plenty of room to spread out. Quiet, peaceful, and fun!
Shambhala Cabins provides accommodations in Onekaka. The hostel has both free WiFi and free private parking. Some rooms include a kitchen with a fridge and a stovetop.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
The view was absolutely breathtaking. Jean is a fantastic host! We were arriving later than expected and she went in and turned on the heat and the lights to ensure it was comfortable when we arrived. Jean also came down to meet us the following day to ensure we got there safely and that we had everything we needed. Absolutely stunning property, incredibly clean and tidy, homely, friendly animals, beautify maintained, 10/10.
Perfect for a family on a budget. It’s a hostel with heaps of character, awesome owners , very friendly, perfect location, comfortable room, hot showers, and good kitchens with all you need to cook your own meals.
Very friendly and helpful owners, funky areas to hang out in the hostel and great location.
