Hanga Roa
All rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, fridge, a kettle, a shower and a wardrobe. The hostel provides some units with sea views, and the rooms are fitted with a patio. All units will provide guests with a dishwasher. Such a nice place to stay - simple but nice with all the facilities. Lovely owners. Bea's tour was great. Even though we're English speakers & the tour is in Spanish, at least we got access into the sites you need a guide for at a very good rate. She was relaxed but kept things moving in a nice way on the 1st day when we had a very large group. Pua Vaenga is a bit out of town but they have all manner of vehicles to hire at very good rates. I would suggest you factor that into the equation if you choose to stay there. We stayed for 4 nights, brought food from Santiago for 3 days & thought we would treat ourselves to a meal out on the last night. Honestly, we would have been just as happy to have a simple meal there on the deck, it was so nice.

The owner was so friendly and so kind, always willing to help you. The place was really amazing with a big garden and the rooms are so spacious.
Polite friendly staff, picked us up from the airport and took us to the hotel. Cheap hotel
Very warmth, kind, attentive and helpful management and staff. Location is safe and near to everything!
This hotel is charming! The attention to detail is just right and the staff has such a great vibe. As a solo traveler I felt very whole and safe staying here. The rooms are spacious with excellent air conditioning. The food is generous and overall the hotel has a homey vibe which is what I loved the most. Cat also was great <3 the girls who picked me up at the airport with a flower necklace were a treat and it kick started my holiday on a great note. Congratulations and thank you !!!
Our host was absolutely fantastic - super friendly, helpful, and ended up being our (mandatory) guide to visit the moai which was much cheaper than another guide. They help you organise anything you need and you are picked up (for free) from the airport and also dropped off. The rooms are very comfy, mine had a balcony which was lovely. Price is good considering the expense of being on the island. You could pay cash or card.
Cannot recommend Pua Vaenga more! Bea was a wonderful host, she picked us up from the airport with beautiful flower necklaces. She was amazing from start to finish- was always there when we needed, and took us on an excellent (and really reasonably priced) tour! We learned so much about the Island and it's history, and also got an included beach trip. The hostel itself is lovely, the beds are super comfy and it's kept spotlessly clean. Go stay here we had the best time!! Thank you Bea - Lisa & Isabella
The convenient location includes free pick-up/drop-off with the airport minutes away. The kitchen was large and had everything you need to cook for yourself. You also get your own personal box of kitchenware! The magic of the island exists in this hostel. I met such wonderful people here. Rapa Nui can be dizzyingly expensive, but what you get for the price of this accommodation is unbelievable.
The view from the property is amazing. The lady who owns the place does an amazing job at keeping it. It is very well cared for and one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. It is also one of the cleanest hotels and hostels I have ever seen.
Rapa Nui is not a destination that has Hiltons and Hyatts. This small island has small hotels that are more like B&Bs. Our room could be described more like a cabin or bungalow. Clean and safe. Breakfast was good and our host spoke English well. Always cheerful and accommodating. This "hotel" has good restaurants on both sides of the property. It is across the street from the ocean and walking distance to just about anywhere you can go without a guide.
Tojika was a dream. It’s right on the coastline, so I fell asleep to the sound of crashing waves. The hostel is very pretty and well-maintained. People complain about having to walk 15 min along beautiful coastline - don’t listen to them! Bikes can be rented for cheap in town if you don’t want to walk. I’ll be back and I’ll be happy to stay in Tojika again!
