武汉 享趣青年旅馆

Wuchang District, Wuhan

Situated conveniently in the centre of Wuhan, 武汉 享趣青年旅馆 offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, free private parking and room service. Featuring a bar, the hostel is close to several noted attractions, around 1.2 km from Hubei University of Economics, 1.4 km from Yellow Crane Tower and 1.9 km from Wuchang Uprising Memorial. The accommodation features evening entertainment and a shared lounge. For reference, I am a Texan who enjoys traveling. I am also younger than most of the people one might find backpacking around the world. The location and people in this hostel are the two main highlights. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and open. I made friends quickly with some of the folks in the meeting area--they even invited me to dinner! The beds are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and they had water and other drinks for purchase in the lobby at reasonable prices. They have musical instruments available to play, as well as an interesting assortment of characters who drift in and out of the lobby. I was very satisfied with my trip. Wuhan, unfortunately, has received a poor reputation because of the events of the past three years. The truth is, the city is full of history, life, and fascinating museums. It should be known for its uprising--a tremendous act of courage that liberated China from imperial rule. The Yellow Crane Tower and Yangtze River Bridge were impressive. I recommend visiting to anyone, but especially Westerners because it is such an uncommon and eye-opening experience.
