This women-only hostel is exceptionally amazing! Very clean, nice, and stylish. It has a really well-equipped kitchen, a make-up space, jacuzzi. There is a nice cozy shared area and the dorms are cute. Bunk beds have curtains and there is an AC on 24/7. The staff were nice and the fellow travellers as well.

Beautiful gardens active with birds and animals, including a sloth. The nearby beach was nearly deserted, but for the nesting Leatherback turtles, it seemed ideal. The restaurant served gourmet food. The menu was varied. The Curry to die for!

Arcari Garden Hostel asub Tortuguero rahvuspargist vaid 400 meetri ja merekaldast vaid mõne sammu kaugusel. Kogu hostelis on tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Kõik toad on terrassi, aiavaate ja välimööbliga. The owners, a very kind couple, go out of their way just so that the guests are happy and comfortable. We loved the room and the breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and a pot of coffee brewed right in front of you. The staff is nice, too.

Rihanny at the front desk is a total star. Calm, pleasant, warm and helpful she made our stay exceptional. The hostel was a joy, wonderful grounds with a resident sloth (Raoul), a number of agouti and most wonderful...the red straberry dart frogs. There are flowers at every corner and the trees and lush vegetation add ambiance and privacy. They have a good system for food storage in the shared kitchen and a nice little pool area.

Lovely environment. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Highly recommend to got out of the noise of the town

Chinitas Eco-Lodge is in San Francisco, a quiet village north of Tortuguero. We booked the deluxe queen room: perfect for our family, basic but clean, with good AC, and surprisingly bug-free! Breakfast was tasty, with coffee/tea, fruit, and a hot platter, and there are several wonderful hammocks for relaxing by the river. However, the best part our stay were the people: 1) Ana, one of the owners, was so warm and helpful (and patient with my attempts at basic Spanish) and her staff were equally friendly; and 2) Owen the tour guide was FANTASTIC: he has such passion for conservation, has a a sharp eye for spotting wildlife, and was instrumental in getting us to the right spots for turtle nesting. Strongly recommend booking the morning Canal tour as well as the late night Turtle tour with Owen, and booking the lodge in general if you want a welcoming, authentic experience!

Overall excellent hostel with a great mix of socializing and chill laid back energy. Clean. Many activities available. Ice bath was an awesome experience. Well situated between town and punta uva/ other beaches. Cheap bike rental. Thank you and see you next time La Ruka!
