I booked last minute and showed up and was treated like family (but not the needy type 😏) I was only going to stay for the night, but the accommodations, location, and staff (which consisted of a lovely German family and extended local family) enticed me to stay a couple more days. (last minute even) They went out of their way to make it happen, and I did have to change rooms (because of my last minute choice) but the entire experience was awesome. the rooms (both of them were comfortable,clean, there was hot water and there was wildlife everywhere. I woke up and outside my door was a young sloth mulling about and feeding. Best Hotel yet. 2 months into a 4 month trip. Also it is very close to the park and I learned if you go to park from Chaulita side it is free. so saved me money.

Exceptional modern stylish hostel set on a quiet backstreet 5 minutes walk from the centre and the beach. There is a good supermarket right there to get all your food to cook in the beautiful kitchen surroundings. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The staff work very hard to keep it that way, and they were all very friendly and helpful to us. Would definitely recommend staying here 😊

Arcari Garden Hostel is located just 400 metres from Tortuguero National Park, just a few steps from the sea shores and features free WiFi access is available in all areas. The setting of the place. It is perfectly aligned with the vibe of Tortuguero. The location is right next to the beach. Rooms are big. No AC but a fan was enough for us. The shower was really large, it could easily fit two people. WiFi was working fine. The hostel also has lots of plants and places to chill out outside of the room. They help organize the tours in Tortuguero as well.

Rihanny at the front desk is a total star. Calm, pleasant, warm and helpful she made our stay exceptional. The hostel was a joy, wonderful grounds with a resident sloth (Raoul), a number of agouti and most wonderful...the red straberry dart frogs. There are flowers at every corner and the trees and lush vegetation add ambiance and privacy. They have a good system for food storage in the shared kitchen and a nice little pool area.

We got everything we needed, the room was comfortable and we where at a walking distance (2-3 min aprox) from the beach. They also have a great restaurant right next to the hotel and they have great food.

The hotel is in a peaceful setting right on the river a very short boat ride from Tortuguero airport. Our room was very clean, spacious with AC. A few restaurants were a couple of minutes walk away (generous portions of fresh food at Lau’s place) The staff here are wonderful people. Owen arranged our trips and looked after us extremely well, making great suggestions. Our plane was delayed because of the weather and they very kindly allowed us a late check out and were very helpful with communications. It is a short walk from the hotel to Cerro and a five minute boat ride to Tortuguero town.
