The rooms are very unique with domed ceilings, the showers are hot (which has been hard to find on our trip), and Omar is a very communicative host. Omar is also a great cook and eating breakfast and an extra dinner at the guesthouse was great. The beds are also comfortable and rooms cool. While the guesthouse is on an island, the ferry only costs 10 EGP / person (December 2024) and leaves often. Then it’s a few minute walk to the guesthouse, really simple and easy.

She went out of her way to not only accommodate me, but share her time, recomendations, and even food along with facilitating scam-free tours for fair prices which is absolutely invaluable in Egypt. The hostel is also located in a quaint, traditional Nubian village which isn't touristic and is devoid of the hassle present along Aswan's main drag. Not only would I stay here again, but I'd recommend it to anyone coming to Aswan, particularly if they're travelling solo and value accomodation which is affordable, homely, and authentic.

The authenticity of the house. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, very accommodating. The location is in the heart of Nubian Village. The best food we ever tasted in the restaurant. The best price quality. The best sunrise.

Situated in Aswan, within 18 km of Aga Khan Mausoleum and 11 km of Nubian Museum, بيت شمس features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private parking for... Such a wonderful host family, we felt very welcome and taken care of. The sunset views on the roof top were especially gorgeous. Great value for the rooms and home cooked meals.

This was the best deal for accommodation in my life and I traveled in 37 countries so far. For the very affordable price I was even surprised by a packed breakfast for my flight. The room was very clean and I could check in very early. Also there was beer available at the hostel for a very low price which is rare in Egypt.
