For a budget hotel, we got 5-star service. Much has been said about superstar Biba, who owns Wanees. She has worked in hospitality, so while she now runs a “hostel” the care guests receive is exceptional. She booked our Nile boat trip, the taxi we needed to get to Cairo and checked in on WhatsApp — after hours and long after we finished paying for her services. A lovely person who truly cares about guests’ experience!

Meðal aðstöðu á gististaðnum er sameiginlegt eldhús og herbergisþjónusta ásamt ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna. the hotel is located on the quiet side of the island so you don't feel the smog and dust! the ferry between the island and the city runs every 10 minutes and costs about 0.2 USD (January 2025) there is a shop and a restaurant on the island but I recommend eating at the hotel because Mr. Omar is a great cook (the food is delicious and we didn't have any stomach problems even eating raw vegetables). Mr. Omar arranged all the trips for us (Abu simbel, Phile and transport from the airport and to Luxor) at unbeatable prices and without haggling. the contact with the host is great. he replies quickly on WhatsApp.

Location: Quiet local neighborhood with kids playing on the street around sunset. The house overlooks the Nile. The square in front, flanked by two mosques, has direct access to the river with a small beach for swimming and boat pickups / dropoffs. The main riverside promenade is within 10 minutes walk. There is a proper Carrefour supermarket and ATMs (in the lobby of the Old Cataract hotel next door) on the way. To me, the area felt much nicer and more authentic than Elephantine island. House: Just renovated, the cleanest I've seen in Egypt (especially the kitchen and bathroom). I stayed in a double, which had the necessary amenities. The rooftop is available with pretty sunset views (see attached pic) and a nice chill area, best enjoyed with a tea. Host: Really helpful, English and Spanish speaking, very responsive, with lots of practical travel experience and great recommendations, especially about navigating the local particularities on a budget.

People I can’t say enough about the hospitality, honesty, and always smiles on faces . They try to make your stay most comfortable. Location wise if u are looking for a relaxing place while you in touch with the Nile , you are in the right place

Situated in Aswan, within 18 km of Aga Khan Mausoleum and 11 km of Nubian Museum, بيت شمس features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private parking for... Very beautiful place, well taken care of, with colorful paintings on the walls, Nubian style. The owners were very kind and welcoming. They helped us with the trip to Abu Simbel and with transfers. They welcomed us with a cup of mint tea, which they grow themselves. The breakfast they prepared was delicious and very big. Amazing quality for good price. Strongly recommend!

I love the view , my room had a balcony and you can see the river …. The room was clean also the bathroom.. and the staff !! Beautiful people !! Thanks to the guys and the owner Gandhi !! Gandhi was a exceptional owner 🌈❤️

Seko Kato Nile View Hostel er staðsett í Aswan og býður upp á gistingu við ströndina, 23 km frá Aga Khan-grafhýsinu. The location was perfect, almost right to the Nile. 1 min walk and you have a little beach to swim in the Nile. Everything in our stay was good :)
