Located in Oban and within 300 metres of Corran Halls, Oban Backpackers features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and luggage storage space for guests. Perfectly located at a short distance from the main centre, Oban Backpackers is definitely the place to be for people on a budget trip. The dorms are spacious, with nice, comfy bunk beds. The toilets and showers are clean. And of course Richard. A gem of a person who makes you feel at home in minutes. He has got great sense of humor and can help you with any info regarding Oban and the isles around. We also met Venezia there who was very helpful. Will definitely visit them again on our next trip.

Located on the seafront, Oban Youth Hostel offers rooms with private toilets and showers, and is just 10 minutes’ walk from Oban rail and bus stations. Kitchen and lounge facilities, free on-site parking and free bicycle storage are also provided. It was smooth and comfortable. Looking forward to staying with them more.

First, the location of the Oban Backpackers is great with there only being a short walk into the town centre, station, and Oban ferry terminal. Also it's one of the cheapest places to stay in Oban being around £20 pounds per night. Which is very good value for money with great friendly staff clean rooms and generally a great base for your Highland adventure.

It's a cheap stopover for the islands. Have stayed on a number of occasions. It's in a great location on the waterfront.

The place was not upto the standards I am use to staying in youth hostels. I would not stay there again. The place needs to be closed down and revamping

Everything was absolutely amazing, best hostel we stayed in - cheap, great location and hotel quality. We had twin room with sea view and shower, spotless clean, comfy beds. Common areas fantastic too - massive kitchen, fully equipped, beautiful views from dining and sitting rooms. 100% recommend

It is cheaper than anywhere else other than the youth hostel and it's very central. I didn't meet the staff but heard them speaking to other guests and they seemed very attentive and kind. It was quiet once people had stopped running up and down the stairs.

The Youth Hostel is in a great location, close to the town centre and all facilities. It's basic, for example, no TV, no kettle or tea making in the room and only one bedside lamp. However, we had an excellent shower, clean towels and bedding, and the room was warm and cosy.
