The staff were brilliant, always eager to help and assist with recommendations at the ready. The rooms were great too, the pod style beds ensure you don't get disturbed much by the lights or sounds in the common areas of the room unless you're an extremely light sleeper. The common areas and kitchen have all the facilities you'll need. The location is perfect and close to grocery stores, restaurants and souvenir stores as well as the castle and most popular tourist places in Edinburgh. Buses are also easily accessible from the location. Everything you need is accessible by a code on a keypad so you never have to worry about losing keycards or keys.

It had welcoming vibes, everyone was chill and the staff was super helpful. I stayed in a mixed bed room of 10 as a first time solo traveler and felt very comfortable with the space I had. It’s right next to victoria street and grassmarket which was super awesome. Everything about this hostel was great! I’d recommend

CoDE Co-Living - The LoFT is set on Rose Street North Lane, just a short walk from Princes Street. It offers modern interiors within a red brick-clad period building. Staff is very friendly. Send very detailed and clear instructions. There is possibility to leave your things after check-out. Kitchen is very clean and nice. Bed is very comfortable.

Situated in central Edinburgh, the High Street Hostel offers free WiFi in all areas. Dating back to 1564, this historic property is on a small side street, just off the Royal Mile. I liked the very well equipped kitchen and lounge. The staff were very helpful and the bathrooms were clean and well equipped. The rooms were cleaned daily. The beds were in correlation with the price. The bedding was clean.

In Edinburgh’s Old Town, Castle Rock Hostel - Adults Only is conveniently located 11 minutes’ walk from Waverley Train Station, and 3 minutes from Grassmarket and Edinburgh Castle. We loved the view so much! It looked right over the castle. And we felt the whole hostel had a very cozy feel. The location was also very central and ideal.
