After staying at Zzz Malang, we knew we had to try Zzz Ijen, and it did not disappoint! The place is beautifully designed, super clean, and the staff made us feel so welcome. We were also surprised by the thoughtful small details like the self-check-in video when we arrived late at night. The hostel’s location is perfect—just a short Grab ride to the train station and the port. Plus, they have a cute cat that hangs around! We loved everything about our stay.

A peaceful and well-managed hostel. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, yet just a short walk to the main street where you can find restaurants, cafes, and an ATM. The Ijen tour we booked through them was smooth and well worth the price. We appreciated the clean rooms and helpful staff.

I appreciated the coffee, water dispenser, washing machine, comfortable places to sit. The rooftop was really nice — you can see a nearby volcano when it’s clear!

Ranasa Yogyakarta features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and bar in Timuran. I was really pleased with the dorms at ranasa. It is a smaller hostel but has all the facilities of a larger one, including a pool which was bliss in the evening to chill and read a book. The staff were very kind and helpful, and I met some nice people staying to get a beer with. People were quiet at night. Aircon in the dorm was great. Breakfast was delicious. Very good value for money.

SEMERU HOSTEL MALANG in Malang provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. The hostel was perfect. They helped me with everything, I also booked 3 tours with them and we went to the Bromo Vulcano, Ijen Crater & the tumpak waterfall together. We took so many nice photos on the tours and they cared a lot. The beds are very comfy, you have lockers for your stuff and also free coffee and tee. The showers are big and clean. The stay in Nadya's Hostel was the best stay on my Indonesia trip and it's also not expensive. The people there are so friendly. Its also central so you can walk to a laundry and there are also some cute restaurants nearby like Pizza place, typical Indonesian food and a salad place. I will comeback for sure !!!
