Rooms are basic but get the job done, with a common area where people can socialize. He has another hostel with the same name in Shillong that is also worth visiting. Free filtered water and easy to reach from the bus and train stations. Good local food, buses within walking distance too. Would recommend.

The personnel were kind and very helpful with indications about the 7 sisters. The location of the hostel is a 10-minute walk from railway station, with loads of nearby shops and restaurants. I would def come back.

There is sufficient ventilation. The internet connection is good and fast. The staff is very nice. There are places to eat and shop outside. The location is good. Transportation is easy.

This was my 2nd stay here at Gibbon and the owner directly recognised me and asked you're an old guest right? then he showed me which beds were available and I choose one. The other things like kitchen & laundry service is well maintained as well. You can have relaxed & satisfying stay here as many days you want without any problem or issues.
