Guest House Minato se nachází v destinaci Mijako. Stadion Kamaishi Recovery Memorial je 46 km daleko a Iwate Prefectural Fishery Science Museum 4,6 km. Was at the guesthouse when Typhoon #5 hit. The owner (sorry, forgot the name!) constantly updated us on the situation. He helped me to cancel my next hostel bc it wasn't possible to travel with everything shut down. Although plans were disrupted, I had an amazing time in Miyako with the other guests staying there. Highly recommended, as it's only 5 min walk to the train/bus stops, with a 7-11 nearby as well. Miyako has a really vibrant nightlife (wouldn't know if not for the typhoon and the fellow guests who showed us around!) .. will be back!
