Nice private room, quiet location on large road, but away from city center noise. Being in Nuwara Eliya was a welcome break from heat! Comfortable bed, room had a small table with two chairs and a sofa bed. Nice that the wall socket had two USB ports. Large spacious bathroom with great hot water. Nice western breakfast of fruit, omelette and toast. We hiked to Single Tree Hill and to Lover’s Leap Waterfall from the house. Haran the host spoke excellent English and his multicultural background enables him to be super welcoming. When he offered to cook dinner for us, I asked to watch his preparations and spent a delightful two hours learning about making curries, as well as learning more about the culture. Dinner was an excellent value as the portions were generous and food was freshly prepared.

Stunning views, amazingly helpful owner, hot water with great pressure in the shower. Clean and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The wifi was not as strong in the room, but he is working on fixing it. If you like walking, everything is in walking distance but it is uphill so it might be worth getting a taxi on arrival with the luggage.

The property was exceptionally clean and well-maintained—it didn’t feel like a hostel at all. The owners were incredibly helpful, providing clear guidance on using public transport and navigating my arrival and departure. The bed was cozy, ensuring a comfortable stay, and the location was extremely convenient. Everything you need, from meals to late-night snacks, is just a short walk away. The space is beautifully designed, making for a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Situated in Hatton, 39 km from Gregory Lake, Railway Lodge Hostel features accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a terrace. Really nice dorms with a beautiful chill place with tables outside with a view on the trains.

Laxapana Wilderness Homestay in Norton Bridge provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. We spent very good time at this homestay. Our expectations were over bound. The house owner is a very nice and welcoming person. The rooms are fully decorated and equipped with extra facilities. We will visit again here for their hospitality. Highly recommended homestay for any tourists.
