Great welcome. Offered another room because the host thought a top bunk would be difficult. Fabulous warm lounge. A special gear drying room. Great kitchen . In the reviews June 2023 a woman complained about the signs but some people in hostels and b/ps almost need a death threat to remind them to clean up.

Situated in the town of Ohakune, on the edge of Tongariro National Park, LKNZ Lodge & Cafe is within 5 minutes' walk of restaurants, bars and shops. It features a sauna, hot tubs and an on-site cafe. Spa pool, pool table, the comfortable beds the warm showers. Everything really. Would recommend this place highly. Ohakune is a beautiful town. And LKNZ lodge & Cafe is within close proximity to everything you need.

Set in National Park, 15 km from Mount Ruapehu, National Park Backpackers offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and barbecue facilities. Hotel was in a very good location where all the facilities like Petrol station, Grocery shopping within walking distance. The shared kitchen is maintained well and rules are clearly written for everyone to follow. Pick up option for Tongariro crossing shuttle was at their doorstep which was helpful.
