I National Park, bare 16 kilometer fra Mount Ruapehu og 17 kilometer fra Taranaki Falls ligger Manowhenua Lodge. this is a wonderful place to stay. Great welcome. Offered another room because the host thought a top bunk would be difficult. Fabulous warm lounge. A special gear drying room. Great kitchen . In the reviews June 2023 a woman complained about the signs but some people in hostels and b/ps almost need a death threat to remind them to clean up.

Situated in the town of Ohakune, on the edge of Tongariro National Park, LKNZ Lodge & Cafe is within 5 minutes' walk of restaurants, bars and shops. It features a sauna, hot tubs and an on-site cafe. Spa pool, pool table, the comfortable beds the warm showers. Everything really. Would recommend this place highly. Ohakune is a beautiful town. And LKNZ lodge & Cafe is within close proximity to everything you need.

I Palmerston North, 14 minutters gange fra Palmerston North Convention Centre, ligger Penny's B&B Accommodation, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en fellesstue. Great location, very friendly owners.

I National Park, 15 kilometer fra Mount Ruapehu, ligger National Park Backpackers, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og grillutstyr. Hotel was in a very good location where all the facilities like Petrol station, Grocery shopping within walking distance. The shared kitchen is maintained well and rules are clearly written for everyone to follow. Pick up option for Tongariro crossing shuttle was at their doorstep which was helpful.

I Pahiatua, 37 kilometer fra Palmerston North Convention Centre, ligger Club Hotel Pahiatua, som har en fellesstue, gratis privat parkering og en bar. The pub onsite was handy to relax with a drink & the staff were helpful & friendly. Was a good stop while passing through the town.
