Tracy and her husband know how to host backpackers and I hightly recommend this lovely place ! Perfect to go on the Tongariro for hiking and also discovering others activities around. I will definitely go back !

Situated in the town of Ohakune, on the edge of Tongariro National Park, LKNZ Lodge & Cafe is within 5 minutes' walk of restaurants, bars and shops. It features a sauna, hot tubs and an on-site cafe. The room was clean and comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. Nice cafe downstairs, friendly staff and a great hot tub/sauna. Laundry facilities also good. It was a short walk into the town centre. We were there just after the summer holidays and it was great value for money.

The pub onsite was handy to relax with a drink & the staff were helpful & friendly. Was a good stop while passing through the town.
