Since August 2018, the modern Alpine-style Tauern Suites Mitterwirt together with Restaurant Mitterwirt have shaped the center of Piesendorf, a village of 3000 residents close to Zell am See-Kaprun in Salzburger Land. With these 30 fully equipped apartments as “home base”, active holidaymakers and families are able to explore the Hohe Tauern National Park Holiday Region, where you are able to sense the extraordinary power of Austria’s mountains in every season of the year – skiing the top ski regions of the Kitzsteinhorn, Schmittenhöhe and Saalbach Hinterglemm, hiking the trails in summer and autumn, discovering popular excursion destinations such as the Grossglockner High-Alpine Road or Krimml Waterfalls (free with the included National Park Sommercard!).
