The resort offers a restaurant, bar, free BBQ, tennis court, gym and beautiful magnesium pool with laundry facilities on site. Free parking. Easy access from the ferry terminal 15-20 minutes on foot, regular bus to front of the resort and taxis and car hire rental located at the ferry terminal. Cafes and shopping close by.
Spend some quality time together in our Couples studio apartment where everything is supplied to ensure you unwind, relax and enjoy some time in paradise. Wake up in the morning to the sound of the birds and relax and plan your daily activities at sunset over a glass of wine or a beer overlooking the beautiful magnesium pool.
Sunrise and night skies are hard to beat on Magnetic Island for the Wow factor. A truly unique holiday experience in Australia's Great Barrier Reef region.
Uncrowded beaches and hidden bays with crystal clear waters and safe swimming areas. Walks throughout the National Park for all ages and abilities. Try the walk from the top of Mandalay Ave, turn right out of the resort, up over the top to Arcadia and Alma Bay. The flora and fauna on the island will delight all travellers. Meet the Kookaburras and sulpher crests for feeding by the pool every day, chat with a wallaby at dusk, discover the wild koalas, watch the sea eagles and enjoy other island natives such as the brahminy kite, the Curlew creeper and the tiny colourful sunbirds.
I am originally from the UK but emigrated to Australia in 1992 and fell in love with the country, people, flora, and fauna. I am proud to be an Australian citizen and call Magnetic Island home.
I live and work from home, in paradise, and am always happy to show off what the Island has to offer. I have traveled extensively, lived in many parts of the world and love meeting new people.
I like long walks on the beach, listening to good music, Italian food, seafood, steak and quality wine, shared with my fabulous husband or great friends.
Surrounded by national park with abundance of birds and wildlife. Bird feeding on the resort every day. Get up close with the kookaburras, Sulphur crests, and rainbow lorikeets. Lots of wallabies on site and even the occasional visit by the Island's wild koalas. One of the best Island walks (Nelly Bay to Arcadia, approx. 5k) starts just up from the resort and has the best 360 degree Island views.
Bus stops at the front of the resort to take you to all bays and tourist attractions. To return to the resort simply tell the bus driver you wish to go to Amaroo on Mandalay.
