Company information

Kate and Kirsten have been managers of the Excellsior and Sailfish Cove since June 2017. Kate previously owned a Campos cafe & Bagel Bar so is well suited to hospitality and still makes a mean coffee. She loves the water life and likes to get out on her kayak and go fishing when she can. Kirsten is a local of the area and loves to help guests find the best restaurants and places to go on the Sunshine Coast. Kirsten is an avid yoga fan these days and can let you know where the best massage therapists hang out. Make sure you stop for a chat.

Property information

Beautiful peaceful views overlooking the Mooloolah river and waterways. Still tantalisingly close to the beach and main shopping and entertainment precinct but far enough away from the throng to give you the quiet, relaxing getaway experience. We have 2 buildings. The Excellsior Building (6 storeys with lift access) offering one-bedroom self-catered accommodation and the Sailfish Cove Building (3-storey walk-up) offering two-bedroom self-catered accommodation. We offer free Wi-Fi and secure parking in both buildings, and Excellsior has free Foxtel. Our rooms are all self-contained with balconies and/or Roof-tops overlooking the river and waterways. Most rooms have had recent Renos or upgrades and offer open plan living. All rooms have full kitchen and laundry facilities. Most of our units have AH Beard King Koil beds or similar.

Mooloolaba ...... the beach town that will steal your heart and leave you wanting more and more..... dream to sit on the beach and enjoy the sun or surf all day long....Our property is just a 5-10 minute walk to Mooloolaba Beach & Surf Club with its many alfresco-style cafes, restaurants, and boutique shops. We are a short stroll across the park to the Wharf Precinct which hosts Sea Life, Sun Reef tours, and a plethora of new funky restaurants and watering holes. Our current favourite is Rice Boi. Mooloolaba is also a fishing mecca and there are plenty of deep-sea fishing charters within walking distance. Mooloolaba is within a 15-minute drive from Sunshine Coast Airport and Aussie World. The popular Steve Irwin Australia Zoo, Noosa National Park, and the Hinterland foodie trail are only 30 minutes’ drive away and we are close enough to Harvey Bay and Fraser Island to do a day trip. We also have a number of great golf courses in the region. SO much to do, come for a day stay for a week. MUST DO is the iconic Mooloolaba Beach which is the #4 Beach in Australia and #1 on the Coast. Don't forget the Surf Club and you have to try the Mooloolaba Prawns.
