It is an amazing home with beautiful views, you will experience total tranquillity. The large home is nestled on the edge of the Mt Lewis World Heritage National Park - it is a national park, It is off the grid but solar supplies for all the creature comforts. Starlink's (Elon Musk) fast and unlimited Wifi lets you connect to the world if you need it! Enjoy the fantastic cool fresh breezes. During winter you will be happy to make use of the fireplace during some nights of the colder months (June-August). Check out the Platypus in the spring-fed deep water lagoon early in the morning or just sit on the veranda and watch pademelons, bandicoots, kookaburras and other wildlife. Attention Birdwatchers and Lychee Lovers!! We have over 180 Lychee trees and you can pick and eat as much as you like when you book in November. For many years, the Buff Breasted Kingfisher from Papua New Guinea has chosen Julatten as his nesting and breeding grounds, from mid-October to early March you can see them around our property. We have a great Funky Monkey Bars Playground to keep the kids entertained around the house. Have a dip, a swim or paddle on the lagoon, with its beautiful healthy natural water (no crocodiles on the mountains!). A small wharf with a ladder makes entry & exit easy. In the evening, enjoy a wine sitting next to the fire bowl in front of the house, or have a BBQ on the veranda. The house is fantastic for just a couple's getaway or large families or friend groups. 25 minutes to Port Douglas with shopping, entertainment and the beautiful 4-mile Beach for a walk or run along the beach or a swim, it is a lovely flat beach for kids and adults. 20min to Mossman and Mossman Gorge.
