Port Mill B&B offers 4-star boutique accommodation set in a historic European-style villa in the heart of Fremantle. Free WiFi and a continental breakfast basket to enjoy in the privacy of your room are included. Port Mill Fremantle is 1 minute’s walk to the famous Fremantle Markets. Little Creatures Brewery, Bathers Beach and the harbour are just 5 minutes’ walk away. Each of the luxurious, air-conditioned rooms offer an en suite bathroom and a balcony. One room includes a bathtub and laundry facilities. Tea, coffee, fresh juice and milk are provided in the room. Features include deluxe elegant décor and a peaceful garden courtyard with fountain. It is only a short 30-minute drive from Perth’s city centre and 40 minutes’ drive from Perth International Airport.

2-storey limestone building circa 1862 built as a Flour Mill. William Cornish was the original owner. In 1865 the mill was leased to T&H Carter Co. In 1880 the lot was occupied by a house and mill, run by Thomas Oakley until his death in 1883. After his death the mill was offered for sale. It was purchased by E. Higham who owned it until 1893. The warehouse and mill was in the partnership of Charles Slee and W.Milling Co. Rate books show James Gillespie as the mill owner and Alice Pearse owning the warehouses, stables and office till 1907 when Gillespie sold to the Westralian Union Flour Co, under control of Thomas Ockerby. In 1939 it became an engineering workshop and was sold to Percy Smith. Continued to operate under Smith family ownership until it was sold to Clarence Minicullo. In 1993, planning approved the restoration of the old mill to 7 residential units. The construction of 6 Residential units and one Commercial Bed and Breakfast was granted. In 1974 the property was classified by the National Trust and entered into the Register by the Heritage Commission.
Fremantle is a working port, host to a big fishing fleet, container ships, and large cruise vessels. It maintains a vibrant commercial life and is a desirable tourist destination with its cosmopolitan nature and unique identity. Its hard to find a bigger variety of sights, sounds and experiences and can all be seen comfortably on foot. Savor a cup of coffee or locally brewed beer or glass of Australia wine on South Terrace, affectionately called the "Cappaccino Strip" known for its outdoor cafe atmosphere. All of the rooms at Port Mill Bed and Breakfast are accessible via either one or two flights of stairs. There is no elevator or ground floor rooms. Please consider this if your mobility is reduced or if you will be travelling with large, heavy luggage.

Please note that Port Mill Bed & Breakfast does not accept payments with American Express credit cards.

A basket filled with continental breakfast items and condiments will be provided for guests to enjoy a daily breakfast at their leisure in the privacy of their room.

All 4 rooms at Port Mill B & B have balconies, however only the Leeuwin and Batavia suites have courtyard and fountain views from their balcony. Duyfken and Zuytdorp suites are situated at the back of the building and their balconies are private with no views.
