Rosewood Park is perfect for couples or friends looking for that country getaway experience within easy reach. Or for horse riders it's the ideal venue to park yourself and your horse. Stay a week and explore the many riding trails on offer in the region or stop overnight and rest up enroute to a high country ride. Offering comfort, convenience, privacy and a peaceful, tranquil our spacious guest suite is ideal for two adults. This fully self-contained and independent air-conditioned suite includes a king size bed with electric blanket. The ensuite bathroom includes a toilet, huge shower, large vanity and mirror, divine fluffy towels and hairdryer. Dine in using the fully functioning kitchen to prepare that something special for breakfast, lunch and dinner or if cooking isn't on the menu, head downtown on foot, bike or car to an assortment of cafes or the well known Yarragon Pub for a drink or meal. It's just 2.5 kms away. Stroll the botanic garden comprising over 250 roses, some rather rare and just take in the ever-changing panoramic views to the Baw Baw Ranges and surrounds. Rosewood Park is also an ideal location to park yourself and your horse. Explore the amazing horse riding destinations in the region or park and rest overnight. We are on-site 24/7 as we live at and work from Rosewood Park.
I have travelled extensively over the years. I'd have to say one of our favorite destinations was Turkey and the Gallipoli experience. It's hard to find the words to describe it to be honest. Anyone who has been there will know what I mean. But it's always great to get back home. These days home is where the heart is. My beautiful home, dogs and horses are my life. I'm very home orientated nowadays and who wouldn't be living at Rosewood Park. When you come and stay you'll know what I mean. My time is spent between working in my home office at Rosewood Park, riding my horse, working around the property and spending quality time with my gorgeous two labradors. Rosewood Park is also home to Horse Sit Stay, another business venture of mine. I provide a holiday horse sitting and horse stay service from my beautiful 10-acre property in Yarragon. Horse riders are now invited to bring their horses and stay for a night or more. Explore the many and varied trail riding opportunities in the region. Or if you,re travelling a distance to a high country ride, break your journey with a stay over at Rosewood Park. Offering private paddocks, each with shelter, easy float parking, stables if needed, comfort is assured for both you and your horse. Please note horse agistment is not included in the booking fee on this platform. You need to contact me direct to discuss.
Yarragon is located between Warragul and Trafalgar and is one of only two towns not bypassed by the Princes Highway between Melbourne and the Latrobe Valley. Yarragon is very much a tourist town, with an interesting selection of antique shops, craft shops, galleries and cafes attracting many visitors. Attractive gardens, pathways, shelters and a large rotunda provide a buffer between the busy highway and the variety of speciality shops and attractions that Yarragon has to offer. The Strzelecki Ranges provide a scenic backdrop to Yarragon, with much of the land around the town devoted to dairy farms. A short drive south along the road to Leongatha climbs the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges, and scenic views can be enjoyed from many spots along the road. The Gourmet Deli Trail consists of a network of farms, vineyards and outlets selling local produce and smallgoods, and covers much of the area between Drouin, Warragul and Yarragon and south through the Strzelecki Ranges. For horse riders, there are a variety of trails to explore to the north, south, east and west.
