Forster's One Mile Beach is extremely popular with surfers and families. It is patrolled during holidays and weekends, and there is a large park with barbecue facilities, picnic tables, and playground equipment along the beach. A 360-degree view of the area can be enjoyed at Bennett's Head lookout, located at the northern end of the trail. Sand sliding and boarding are also popular on the giant sandhill.
