Beautiful property with lovely design features, artwork, antiques and space galore. A quiet location with parking for multiple vehicles but only a short drive to the supermarket and main street of Daylesford. Hosts left a wonderful welcome tray...

It is such a beautiful place to stay with family or friends. Great outdoor area for hanging out and getting cosy around a firepit. Bedrooms are lovely with very comfortable beds. We loved our stay.

Property information

Lovingly restored and transformed, this exquisite, rare gem from Daylesford gold mining days was formerly an 1860’s pub. Its warmth and character is complimented by contemporary designed spaces, and a carefully curated collection of artwork and curiosities; providing a unique and stylish home with historic intrigue. With 5 bedrooms, The Elm Tree caters for up to 10 guests in hotel quality beds. The huge and amazing main bedroom was originally the heart of the building which housed the pub and was entered directly from the southern veranda. Today it provides a sumptuous king size bed, contemporary luxury and historic charm, including colourful artwork and French antiques. The pub’s bottle shelving still lines the walls, as does the original open fireplace. There are 3 large windows with timber shutters for light and privacy. Each of the other 4 bedrooms are unique in their design and furnishings with two having private ensuites. Please note: The king bed in bedroom 3 can be split into 2 x single beds if required. We will contact you when your booking is received to confirm your preferred bedding configuration.
