a small apartment(26 square meters indoor)&second-handed bookstore of a Hangzhou based author. The Apartment lies on the 18th floor (the top floor) in an old building with two lifts, in the historical area of downtown Hangzhou. From here you can walk to most historical heritage in Hangzhou city, including the West Lake, in 30 minutes. It cost you about 15 minutes walk to the metro station, Ding'an road. 5 minutes to a big local supermarket，East River and Zhong River, two beautiful and historical rivers with more than 1300 years. There is an indoor traditional Chinese mart on the first floor of the building, where you can find delicious and cheap local food from 6am to 6pm. Old granny and grandpa sit in the lobby of the building to spend time in the day. The neighberhood is safe, friendly and convenient, while it is very queit indoor. There is a big bed in the apartment, and a lot of books&DVDs&CDs&Cassetts free for you to read and watch during your stay, including the new book of mine. The book is about the historical lanes and streets in center Hangzhou city, Where I spent the whole 2016 walking.
I am Yan, a Hangzhou based Chinese author. Before then, I had been a journalist and author based in Shanghai for more than 10 years, having interviewed and written many articles about well-known writers, artists and humanists around the world.
In September of 2015, I moved to and settled down in Hangzhou,where I had spent three years in the Graduate School of Zhejiang University from 1998 to 2001.
My new book, Hangzhou on My foot was published by Zhejiang University Publication Company in the Feb. of 2017. In this Book, I writes about my walk in the historical streets and lanes in Hangzhou and what I see and find there.
Hangzhou is my home. I love Hangzhou and want to share my love with you.

Hangzhou is a city full of scenes. Even just around the West Lake, there are quite a few beautiful lanes, gardens and temples waiting for you to find.
As for the restaurant, I prefer small local restaurants which hide in the old and quiet streets.
I strongly recommend you to take a public bicycle to explore this city. You need to download Alipay the app to hire a public bicycle.
