Welcome to Clown and Bard Hostel! Since 1995, we’ve been your home away from home in Prague, offering a youthful spirit and dedication to guest satisfaction at a competitive price. Our international staff creates a lively atmosphere and is eager to share insider tips to help you explore the city. Located in Žižkov, just three tram stops from Václavské Náměstí, our hostel is surrounded by the city's best bars, beer gardens, cafes, and restaurants. Enjoy free Wi-Fi, convenient lockers in our dorms (please bring your own lock or purchase one at reception), and amenities like hairdryers and irons upon request. Access to our reception, rooms, and common areas is only possible via stairs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Reception Hours: 14:00 - 22:00.
Check-In: 15:00 - 22:00 Arrivals outside check-in hours must be arranged with staff at least 48 hours in advance. A late check-in fee will apply after 22:00. Check-Out: by 11:00 AM. Self-check-out instructions will be provided during Check-In. Quiet Hours: 22:00 - 08:00.
Payment: Prices are listed in Czech Koruna (CZK). Full payment, including taxes, is due at check-in. Card payments (except American Express) and cash payments in CZK are accepted.
City Tax: Guests aged 18+ must pay 50 CZK per person, per night, upon arrival.
No-Shows: The full reservation amount, plus applicable taxes, will be charged for no-shows.
Security Deposit: Upon arrival, a credit card is required for a security deposit of 200CZK per set of keys. The deposit will be refunded on the day of your check-out. Groups (8+ guests) require a 400 CZK per person deposit. This deposit covers adherence to house rules, including quiet hours from 22:00 to 8:00, the cost of two keys per room, and any potential damages during your stay.
Guests arriving after 22:00, are requested to inform the property at least 48 hours prior to their expected arrival time.
Please note that an additional charge of 250 CZK per group (reservation) will apply for check-in outside the scheduled hours.
Registration Form: All guests aged 16+ must complete the registration form. Special Room Requests: Requests (e.g., bed preferences) must be made at least 48 hours before arrival and are subject to availability.
Valuables and Safety: The hostel is not responsible for valuables not stored in the reception safety deposit box. Lockers: Dormitory rooms have lockers where you can secure your luggage with your own padlock or you can buy/rent one from reception.
Age Restrictions: Minors (under 18) are not allowed in dorm rooms.
Guests under 18 may stay in private rooms with parental permission, please fill the form on our website under Terms & Conditions.
Admission Rights: The hostel may deny entry to anyone acting aggressively, intoxicated, or posing a threat to staff or guests.
Pet Policy: Pets are allowed in private rooms with prior staff approval.
No Smoking: Smoking is prohibited inside the building.
Accessibility: Please note that our reception, rooms, and common spaces are only accessible via stairs, and there is no elevator available. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.
