Roubenka (wooden cottage) is located in an exceptional location with a view of Boubin, which you can watch at sunrise, during the day and at sunset. The cottage was built in 2014 in a modern style, but we have sensitively preserved the elements that make reference to the original classical cottages. Views of the opposing hills and forests and Boubin can be enjoyed through the oversized panoramic windows and from the huge terrace. The idea was to offer a comfortable space inside, but one that would not feel cramped, as is the case in old wooden cottages with small windows. When visitors arrive in Sumava, let them be connected to the surrounding nature and watch the amazing changes of the Sumava weather. Inside the cottage, you will find all the comforts you are used to at home: a well-equipped kitchen - dishwasher, microwave, quality coffee maker, kettle, tea kettle, milk frother, blender, toaster, plenty of dishes, fridge, freezer, washing machine,... The centre of the living room is the tile stove, where you will always find plenty of wood chips and wood to heat up and create a wonderful atmosphere. Next to the stove are 2 sofas where you can relax. There is also a large TV and wifi connection. Comfort is provided by 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, 5 double bedrooms. From spring to autumn you will enjoy the huge terrace with seating. In the lower part of the garden there is a summer house, where there is also a fireplace with a barbecue area. Another place for your relaxation. Children will enjoy the large trampoline built into the ground. In winter, the garden offers small children a great space for sledging and bobsleighing :-). Behind the stone wall, the local farmer's horse or sheep and goats sometimes peek out. Check-in and check-out is comfortable, without the need for personal contact - you pick up your key in a secure box with a PIN, which we will send you the day before your accommodation.
The mountains and the love of nature, walking in the mountains and even escaping the urban jungle were the motivation for building the wooden cottage. Where better to go for a weekend, holiday or homeoffice than to the mountains for fresh air? Where is the best place to take a young son so that he can have the best childhood experiences associated with the countryside, a big garden, roasting sausages, running around the meadow, exploring the forest and going on hikes and going on adventures and exploring? We still use Roubenka for family purposes, and we would be delighted if guests could feel and behave as if it were their own.
The surroundings of Vimperk offer many places to explore - the nature trail around the Sudslavice lime tree, the lookout tower on Mařský vrch, the water mill Hoslovice, the swimming pool in Vimperk, the chateau in Vimperk and much more. The most attractive places in Sumava can be found about half an hour drive away - Kvilda, Filipova Hut', Modrava, Kašperské Hory, about 15 minutes Zadov, Churáňov or Kubova Hut'. It is half an hour to Strážný and from there it is only a short walk to the beauty of the Bavarian Sumava, which we highly recommend - Třístoličník (45 min), Luzný, Velký and Malý Roklan, the Bavarian Forest treetop trail, the towns of Phillipsreut, Freyung, a little further on Passov. A red hiking trail leads directly to Kresanov, where the cottage is located. In the village there is a small farm, a pond and several entrances to the forest where you can find mushrooms, blueberries or blackberries. Whether you stay in the accommodation, go to the surroundings of Vimperk or plan a trip to the main attractions of Šumava, you will always have an unforgettable experience and a comfortable cottage where you can rest for your next adventure.
