Morro Jable, located in the south of the Jandía peninsula, is the most inhabited village in the municipality of Pájara, and has now become one of the tourist attractions of Fuerteventura. Its beaches are among the best known on the island, for their clean and calm waters, which together with its history and beautiful natural landscapes, make Jandía the tourist destination par excellence for German visitors. When we arrive at Morro Jable we are struck by the sight of the Solana beach, with its large stretches of fine sand, where the most outstanding features are: the Saladar de Jandía, an area of landfall for sea birds, and the Matorral lighthouse, visible from practically the entire beach and which serves as a dividing line between the nudist beach located to the north of the lighthouse and the non-nudist beach, closer to the town. Morro Jable has a large promenade with a cycle path that runs along the coast of this tourist enclave, where you will find the skeleton of a male sperm whale over 14 metres long, and the sculpture "Fobos" by César Manrique, part of the artist's "Juguetes del viento" (Toys of the Wind) series. In the old town you will find the largest concentration of restaurants in the village, with a great tradition of cooking fresh fish. Here we can savour typical Canarian dishes, mixed with a varied and extensive international menu.
