La Asomada is an ideal place to rest, to stroll, relax and practice all kinds of adventure sports, it is a favourite starting point for hikers and mountain bikers alike to enjoy the mountain trails with views of the coast and Fuerteventura on one side and the Timanfayer National Park on the other. It is also a prime location for road cyclist to enjoy the smooth tarmac and winding mountain roads of Lanzarote leading through the national park and beyond. If you would like to enjoy swimming or snorkelling in the crystal clear waters at the famous Papagayo beach and watch out for dolphins and whales on the way, then Puerto Calero is only a 7 min drive away, here there are various boat trips available and a variety of exclusive shops and restaurants to try. 12 minutes drive from the airport and only 7 minutes from the popular beaches and resorts of Puerto del carmen and Puerto Calero. There is a local restaurant within a five minute walk and a good supermarket only 1.9km away. It is also only 3km to the popular wine region of La Geria. Either with the frequent local bus service or cheap car rental getting around is no problem.
