In authentic mountain style, Le Refuge des Marmottes *** is particularly well-equipped, offering you maximum comfort: plenty of storage space, large flat-screen TV, DVD player, CD/Bluetooth Hi-Fi system, cot, booster seat, hairdryer, traditional oven, microwave oven, 4 hotplates, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, Nespresso coffee machine, and the essential raclette and fondue appliances for unforgettable evenings in the mountains. Le Refuge des Marmottes *** offers quality services that are systematically included: personalized welcome, private closed garage (with 16A socket), ski locker, Wi-Fi. Tourist tax: 1,70 Euros/adult/night. Optional services: - Laundry service (supply of sheets, towels and tea towels on arrival): 30 Euros/people; - End-of-stay cleaning (excluding kitchen area): 60 Euros, offered in high season. I'm a mountain enthusiast who loves the Southern Alps, especially the Queyras Regional Nature Park (which stretches from Vars to the Italian border). I practice many mountain sports (skiing, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, via ferrata). I'm keen to share these passions, and to help people discover this wonderful area.
Set in a magnificent cirque, the resort of Vars enjoys an exceptional location in Southern Alpine and enjoys around 300 days of sunshine per year. The resort is made up of charming little hamlets, and the mountains are beautiful. La Forêt Blanche ski area (linking Vars and Risoul) offers 185km of slopes (including the world's fastest slope - 255 km/h -), and a multitude of environments (forest, wide-open spaces, freeride corridors and snowparks). The Vars ski area also offers multiple orientations, so you can ski all day in the sun. Le Refuge des Marmottes *** is ideally located in the resort, at Vars-les-Claux (1850m). It's very close to the slopes, ski schools (ESF and ESI), swimming pool, tennis courts, adventure park, hiking trails, shops, bars and restaurants.
